About

In September 2024 in Trier, 54runningclub started out not as a classic business idea drawn on a slide deck, but by chance. One evening in The.Boxx, Yassin ran into Henri Kiefer (Junior Downhill World Champion '24 & German Downhill Champion '25) and Mo during a training session. A few conversations later, they found themselves running along the Mosel, crushing miles and finishing with coffee at Balott on Kornmarkt. At only the second run, another runner joined by coincidence - and a small crew of four was born.

Over the winter, the runs paused and it was unclear where this story would go. While running culture was booming in many cities, Trier was, as so often, a little behind. Giving up, however, is not in Yassin’s nature. In January he kicked off the second season of 54runningclub. At that first run, Jürgen, Helene and Leonard showed up - three runners who are still part of the core community and have witnessed the club grow from a handful of people to a steadily expanding crew.

As race days approached, like the Luxembourg Night Marathon, Yassin decided to ask standout local brands to back the movement. The result: Der Daddy, Balott, The.Boxx and BREEZE. became the first race day jersey sponsors. The selection was no coincidence; in line with the club’s motto “catch us if you can”, only brands that truly resonated with the culture were invited to stand on the jersey.

Over time, Leonard & Lion evolved into Yassin’s right hand in the club. As a sports physio and dedicated athlete, Leonard steps in when Yassin is injured or tied up in business, ensuring the community doesn’t stand still and that runners don’t just go further, but stay healthy. Alongside him, Lion has become another key pillar of the crew - an enthusiastic runner who supports the planning and execution of the runs and often takes the lead on the ground, keeping structure, pace and energy high.

Today, 54runningclub is a growing movement with a loyal core: people who show up in the dark, in the rain, on Sundays and after long days at work. The apparel you find here is built for them - for the modern city runner who cares about pace, feeling and aesthetics in equal measure.

And this is only the beginning. Alongside the next race day jersey sponsor round, 2026 will bring new projects - including a charity run to give something back, and the launch of the 54 Performance Club, a dedicated side project designed to push ambitious athletes further with structured training plans, guidance and performance-focused content.
